Listing Description
Hi...
My 11 year-old son needs a lot of work done in his mouth. My wife and I noticed his baby teeth were not falling out timely nor were his adult teeth coming in. Turns out he needs to go to a surgeon to have four teeth removed as well as cutting a bit of the bone away to allow more space for his teeth to come in. He then needs to be fitted for a spacer to widen his upper palate, wear that for six months or so and then braces. He's a good kid with a terrific smile and personality and my hope is to get this started asap so he does not become self-conscience about his smile.
Then there is my mouth. I have been on seizure medication for 8 years or so and the meds are really doing a number on my teeth. I've already lost one tooth completely and have one other that is split in half. That's in addition to the wearing at my gums. My mouth itself, from they are estimating me, will run about $5,000+. I've put my dental work off for a while knowing that my son may need his own work.
My dentist will not take payments because he will not complete any dental work without payment in advance. That's policy. I gave quite a bit of detail here just as a way of explaining the large sum I'm requesting for the work. I'd like to have each dentist, orthodontist and surgeon paid in advance and focus on the care and not the cost.
Personally, I spend my days finishing a manuscript that I'm writing for a reference book on cemeteries that has drawn a bit of interest (fingers are crossed). My wife spends her time shaping our home we just moved into. We have three kids, including the 11-year old middle child. They do well in school, are into sports and probably watch too much TV.
