Listing Description
I am requesting this loan to pay off a credit card.  The card has an unreasonably high interest rate (21%).  I have been trying to improve my credit score by paying off the card and getting a new one with a lower rate.  However, a $5,000 balance on a 21% interest is making the task close to impossible. By borrowing money through Prosper I will be able to payoff the high interest credit card, improving my credit.  The highlight will be making payments on the new loan knowing my money is benefitting a member of the community rather than the Corporate Monster. I would like to note that I am also a home owner.
