Listing Description

Hi -
My name is Barbara [LAST NAME DELETED]. I'm the primary owner of a local Utah magazine - Wasatch Woman Magazine. The mission of the magazine is to connect women, by telling their stories. We want to be the voice for women in our community, while highlighting the amazing things that women in Utah accomplish. In addition to regular features on health, money, lifestyle (such as gardening, traveling, and food), Wasatch Woman celebrates the bounties that our area has to offer and the lives of the women who call the Wasatch Front home. If you would like a free copy of the magazine, please check us out at www.wasatchwoman.com and sign up for a free copy. We're happy to send you one!

The magazine just recently celebrated its one-year anniversary and now that we are entering year 2, we need some additional funds to move forward. Local magazines generally break even at about the 1 and a half year mark. We have seen steady growth in advertising sales and subscriptions. Our projections show that we should break even and begin making a profit within the next 2 to 3 issues. We publish the magazine every other month.

Personally, we live a fairly frugal life. I work full-time, in addition to running the magazine and just received a promotion to director status that will raise my salary to 90k a year (with bonus). Our debt includes a home mortgage (approx. 1080 a month), a 2nd mortgage (used for business), a small school loan (12k) and some credit card debt (magazine related). After paying bills, donating money to our church and paying for food and gas we have around $800.00 a month in discretionary funds. We are using this money to pay on business debt and to pay employees. This money will enable us to pay back the 25,000 we are asking.

We appreciate you taking your time to consider loaning us money. The magazine has made a huge difference in many women's lives and we want to continue forward. It is my dream that it will eventually provide for my family, so that I can have a more flexible schedule to spend more time with my children.

Thank you!
Barb
