Listing Description

Since becoming a member of the Prosper community last month, I have listed loan requests 3 times. The first two requests I withdrew within a day of listing them. The third attempt was listed for a full 10 day period and generated 24% funding and my banking information was verified. I may have jumped the gun in attempting to list without first doing some homework.

I have been researching through the forums, links, messages, and other listings in an effort to learn more about creating an effective listing. Most of all, I realize your need to feel secure about lending me your hard earned money. I am making every effort to furnish you with the details you need to make an educated decision. And after you have read what I have presented to you, I feel confident that you will want to give my request some very serious consideration and come to the conclusion that funding my request makes good business sense.

My reason for requesting this loan is to pay off a higher interest loan and lower my monthly expenses. With the funding from Prosper lenders and my own funds, I will be paying off a loan, 41.64% interest rate with the World Finance Corporation. This will lower my monthly payment by $55.03 per month and save $774.90 in interest charges over the next three years. This is a positive step in the right direction and a substantial improvement in continuing to raise my credit score.

My credit grade reflects 2 judgments and 1 delinquency. The judgments were for the sums of $1417.36 and $876.78 against my ex-wife and myself. They were both released as being satisfied in June 2004. The delinquency is $169.00 that Cingular Wireless claims I owe them for breaking my 2 year contract with them. I have not heard from them now for at least three years and thought they had agreed with me that I did not owe them. I do not plan to ever pay them, because I have receipts and cancelled checks that show that I did honor my contractual agreement with them. They were claiming I did not fulfill the contract because I had a problem with the original phone they supplied me and when I requested a replacement phone they evidently started the 2 year agreement over from that time.

My net monthly income from my employment from the State of Illinois is $2872.84. Net monthly income from my part-time employment averages $720.00. My ability to pay Prosper should not present a problem and I will have the payments debited directly from my checking account.

Thanks to all Prosperians. PEACE and God Bless.
