And what’s with the ridiculous income requirements? Not that I care, but most people don’t make 70K/yr and still many of them have money to invest. Most investors understand that investments may lose value and loans may not be repaid - those that don’t are stupid. I don’t think it’s LendingClub’s (or any other site’s) place to protect people from themselves.

Their income requirement is kinda stupid. People who make 70k doesn’t necessary mean they know how to invest and can afford to lose the money.
