New Stats and Customization Features

September 28th, 2007 | News & Updates

A number of things have been added in this update. Here are the highlights:

  • The Lender Breakdown page has been updated and renamed the Lender Overview page. You can use this page to get an overview of lender ROI.
  • Added an “Active Lenders and Borrowers” chart to the Prosper Membership Growth page. (Steve)
  • The “Customize” section found throughout the site has been updated to allow multiple credit grades and loan statuses to be selected. For example you can customize the Total Loans Funded page to show stats for AA and A borrowers only. (thisguy, Lazy Man and Money)
  • Added Time Left column to the Borrowers Who Lend page, removed the Title column for space (FML)
  • Updated the Active Lender Bids page to show lenders whose screen names start with numbers. (Eric)
  • Fixed a caption bug on the group profile page for the bar chart. (Ron)
  • Moved Repeat Borrowers from the Stats page to the Analytics page.
  • Patched a bug on the Listing Picker page where multiple bids from the same lender were getting counted multiple times. (bolapara)

    Thanks for the great updates!

I do have a suggestion. Most of us are interested in seeing if TOTAL loans on Prosper is expanding or not. On the Prosper loans funded page if you could include a column for total funded loans per month. It would be nice to somehow also be on the chart. For instance AF only loans look like they are increasing but if you combine the DQ with current they are actually flat.

    Hey pjz,

This will go in the next update. I think the initial way of doing this would be to add an additional option to the Customize Section on this page to toggle between viewing the page by ‘total amount’ or by ‘# of loans’.

Lendingstats thanks for responding. Maybe the standard way of showing the graph would be good. Instead of having the current loan bar on the right and the late bar on the left, the total loan bar would just go to the right with the portion of the total loans current and late would be in different colors.

I think I get what you are saying. Have all the bars stacked to the right side of the chart instead of the way it is right now. (The way it was before the flash charts were introduced.)

Couple of small bugs I have noticed in the latest release.

    1. In the lender summary profile if you click on the number of late loans you used to get a list of just the late loans. Now you get a list of all the loans.
Example: On the following page click “1″ in late loans and you get 16 loans.

    2. In Firefox (works in Explorer) you cannot select “Available loan statuses” or “available credit grades” in the lender loan portfolio.

    Hey pjz,

    1. This is fixed, it will get pushed out in the next update.
    2. I tested this in Firefox and can’t reproduce it. I’m going to test this some more. I think the problem your having might have to do with an old cache file. You can try clearing your cache (Tools -> Clear Privacy Data -> Select Cache)

  7. pjz says:

Yes, clearing the cache fixed problem 2.

Thanks, hope you stay and continue the fine job you are doing!

A thought: it might be useful, if possible, to show the performance of the loans of just the repeat borrowers. I for one would be real interested to know if repeat borrowers really DO outperform first-time borrowers as most folks seem to assume.

    Hey NewHorizon,

I’ll look into adding the “Repeat Borrower toggle” option to the Historical Loan Performance page. Might not be as simple as that, since computing it might be too slow. If anything I’ll just run the numbers and post the results.
